Light on Peyote / Pejuta Wakan

“Through a lifetime, you can only connect to small glimpses of what Peyote’s Spirit is really about.”
-Cree elder from “Kanada”.

One thing is sure, this cactus is sacred. It is one of my main teachers in this lifetime and it will always be. Peyote is well consumed through specific ceremonies that follow ancestral protocols and guidelines; ceremonies that have been passed down from medicine’s lineages of Native American tribes.

This cactus has the power to awake the deepest truth within oneself, including buried wounds and traumas. It connects to a higher source of life, to nature itself.

Peyote provides healing to humans in need.
It is the sun medicine, the light itself.

The plant looks like Anahata, Heart Chakra when you truly look at it from a physical perspective. It really looks like this green heart center visual.

Peyote explores what lies at the very root of any disease. From emotional problems to physical illness, this medicine acts on one’s entire being.

Peyote, Pejuta Wakan, operates on a physical, spiritual, mental, emotional level as well as a faith level. Meaning, the more you put your trust and have faith in this medicine, the more it responds positively and brings miracles. I have seen, heard and acknowledge many stories of beauty. Stories that sometimes seem to go beyond what we know as common in this world.

Again, it needs to be ingested through sacred ways, respected ceremonies. This is the way to give respect and discover its healing spirit. This is the way to receive real blessings.

Medicine men/women such as Wixàrika (Huicholes) marakames, Native American Church Roadmen/women ceremony holders and Crystal gazers are some of the ones allowed to conduct these ceremonies.
It is very important to respect this; to protect the medicine and the ones who carry it, to honour grand-father peyote.

Proper ceremonies usually start at sunset and last until morning sunrise. The night is conducted through specific protocols, sharing songs, prayers, Tabacco and medicine.

There is a current need on earth for human beings to reconnect to the plant medicines realm. Because they offer the opportunity to reconnect within, therefore accelerating the healing of humanity.

It is with prayers and the highest respect that these traditions are being shared.

If one’s is being called by the medicine, the sincerity of its intentions could bring medicine into his life. This is how the medicine seems to work somehow; it enters your life at the perfect divine timing when you need it. The spirit comes to visit you when you are ready. And Peyote always has a message for you to discover. The universe has its ways to provide when receiving clear intentions.

Trust the power of plant medicine, respect its protocols and embrace the journey. It is filled with many blessings that go beyond the realm of imagination.
